(I have only seen this clip and a clip of the girls’ reaction to hearing the news of Yonghyun’s departure from the show so there may be some discrepancies in what I’m about to say.)
I am not saying I do not understand nor see Yonghyun’s point of view, but I also want to voice out SNSD’s point of view, especially Hyoyeon and Yoona’s perspective. This will hit them even harder since they were his mentors. Where did they go wrong? What did they not do that they should have done? This is the burden I feel when I try to help someone but it results into a failure. It’s horrible. I hope the girls don’t take it that badly nor do they carry all the (possible) blame or regret by themselves. Well, I probably don’t have to worry much though since they have the 7 other girls - they have each other.
But really Yonghyun…I don’t know what to say. I want to say hey, and you’re the oldest of the group? But at the same time, that may be one of the factors that lead to him wanting to leave the show. /Sigh. Honestly, I’m really happily surprised and glad to see how Hoihoon’s changed. Proud. And the other boys actually want Yonghyun to stay and are spending time and effort in trying to dissuade him from leaving. It’s true, as Hoihoon says. The girls are sincere in wanting them to change for the better. They actually care and sincerely want to help the boys become better people. The four of you are making me prouder with each episode. Keep on going. Show us and most importantly - yourselves that you can do this.
(Personally, I haven’t completely given up on Yonghyun yet. I still think that he can change if he really wants to. The greatest obstacle is himself.)
